名人藏書編目雜感

誠如台大圖書館特藏資源中「專藏文庫」的介紹所言，整編這些名人藏書會助於「研究名人學思內涵，達見賢思齊之功」。

不同於一般館藏，名人藏書不僅對讀者或研究者來說別具意義；對編目員而言，可說是在傾聽一段人與書的故事，一旦書有了藏書者的故事，這些藏書就讓人更覺感人及珍惜。

欲體認藏書內涵，首先可先去了解藏書者其人其事(如閱讀其傳記)，例如台大圖書館庋藏的伊能文庫、楊雲萍文庫、安田文庫及大陸國圖的穆麟德藏書[1]等，都見有背景介紹。對藏書者及其時代了解得愈多就愈能體認其中精神所在。

最近編完方東美先生的西文藏書，期間也陸續閱讀關於方東美的一些資料，對於這位哲學大師的思想，是我無法於短時間內了解的，但在嚴肅莊重的學術領域之外，我讀到了方夫人寫方先生的兩篇很感人的短文：「寫在東美八十冥壽之前夕」及「東美與書」[2]，後一篇講到方先生是如何愛書，是「想盡方法，千辛萬苦，節衣縮食」買書 …… (見下圖)

我想我們等待更多能如方先生般如此珍愛這些書的人。

國際聯盟的資料

在圖書館繕打撤架清單時，國際聯盟(League of Nations，國聯)的資料引起我的好奇與注意，雖然它們已陳舊且佈滿灰塵。

有些資料比我媽媽年紀還大，我剛好處理的是法文版(其中小部份是法英對照)這部份。值得一提的是：
紙本資料在普通保存環境下，到了八、九十歲就會很脆弱了？！
如何從重複瀏覽與繕打法文書名過程中學習法文、探得一些規律？這對編目員是件有意思的事。

言歸正傳，國聯(出版的)資料頗具價值，因為：

這些資料若經編目(甚至數位化)後，相信更能彰顯其價值吧！
